2011 “Gotta Gig Gotta Go” Concert And Golf Tourney (Success)

Wow what a party, it’s deemed the party of the year for the Red Lodge Community and I would have to agree. It doesn’t get much better then folks coming together for great food, drink, music, fun, golf and at the same time supporting our youth in the community. We all need this, people helping people and what a great example this community sets forth for others to follow!

2011 Gotta Gig Gotta Go!

This year the magic weekend is the July 23rd weekend. The golf tournament starts Saturday morning and continues Sunday. You can call the Pro Shop at 446-3344 or Peder at 671-8492 for details. Saturday night is the Billy Waldo and the Flying Grizzlies Concert featuring Dennis Ercikson, singer songwriter from Bozeman. You may see an appearance from the “Houndogs” (Stano’s band). This year will be another great celebration. Last year we estimated about 1100 folks attended the concert, we would love to see 1200 plus this year so tell a friend. Stay tuned for updates as we progress.

“The Stanley “Stano” Bustos Memorial Foundation proudly presented a $1,500 check to the Silver Run Ski Foundation at its recent fund raiser. In 2010 the Stano Foundation gave $8,350 to youth organization in Red Lodge and $655 in assistance to individuals in the Red Lodge area. Featured is Cole Greer-Silver Run, Augie Aga & Jim Kadous-Board Members of the Stano Foundation.”

We are fast approaching the Gotta Gig Gotta go concert and golf tournament on July 24th and 25th. This has been an amazing year, our sponsors have come through once again even in a tough economy. We want to thank all of them for supporting this great foundation. I want to tell you about a type of donation that just amazed us all this year. A very kind supporter of the Stano Bustos Memorial Foundation is getting married soon, her and her future husband asked in lieu of gifts that folks send a donation to the SBMF. We have received several donations in their name and not only do we appreciate them thinking of us even at their wedding but just being that innovative and kind is something in itself. Catherine Stephens & Jonathan Bushey we thank you so very much and congratulations on your up and coming wedding, we bless you with much good JU JU!

With more and more cuts to funding for education, foundations like SBMF are increasingly important, to help fill in some of those “gaps”. Music and the arts always seem to be the first hit. That is why we have helped the band program with cash for equiptment, to help keep it viable for today!!! Thanks to our great new band teacher Randy Moore!! CB

Charlie Brandine from the Stano Bustos Memorial Foundation presents a check for $500.00 to Rena Beck a representative of Red Lodge Youth Soccer. Once again the foundation is very excited to be a contributor to a great youth activity in the Red Lodge community.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB DONATION RECIPIENTS

December 11th 2009 Jimmy Kujala and Charlie Brandine from the Stano Bustos Memorial Foundation, wearing their Stano Christmas attire presented the Boys and Girls Club of Red Lodge with two checks in the amount of $2000.00 direct to the club and a check for $1000.00 to go to the skate park for additions and renovations. Accompanied by the children and directors from the Boys and Girls Club, it was a colorful festive event. We are extremely happy to be able to support the Boys and Girls Club and all the good work the Club does for the youth in our community. Not to mention Charlie and Jimmy were very impressed with the Martin Ukulele belonging to Travis.
